Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 24, 2026

At Should I Quit My Job? ("we", "us", "our"), your privacy is our priority. We designed this tool with strict data minimization principles. We do not require accounts, we do not have a database of users, and we do not sell personal information.

1. Data We Collect and How We Use It

A. Information You Provide (Assessment Inputs)

When you fill out the assessment form, your inputs (e.g., job role, burnout symptoms, financial padding) are stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This ensures you can pause and return to the form without losing progress.

These inputs are never transmitted to our servers for storage. When you generate your report, this exact dataset is transmitted securely via a temporary API request strictly to generate your analysis. Once you clear your browser data or cache, your stored inputs are permanently erased from your device.

B. Automatically Collected Information

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor behaviour (such as how many people complete the assessment or click "Print Report"). This helps us improve the user experience. Google Analytics may collect anonymous identifiers and general location data. We have configured it to aggregate metrics to respect your privacy.

2. Third-Party Data Processors

To provide this service, we rely on essential third-party infrastructure. Your data is processed by these entities solely for the purpose of enabling the tool's functionality:

  • Anthropic (Claude API): Used to generate the final analytical report. Your assessment answers are securely transmitted to Anthropic to be processed by their language models. Anthropic strictly prohibits training their models on customer API data. You can review their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
  • Cloudflare: Our hosting and serverless infrastructure provider. They may log temporary IP addresses for security and DDoS protection purposes.
  • Google Analytics: Our analytics provider for aggregate usage statistics.

3. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or assessment data to any third parties. We do not engage in targeted advertising based on your assessment results.

4. Your Rights

Because we do not store your personal assessment data on our servers, there is no centralized database from which we can retrieve, edit, or delete your specific file. You have full control over your data: you can delete all your stored answers instantly by clearing your browser's local storage and cache.

5. Contact

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data handling practices, please contact us via the project's GitHub repository or email provided on the platform.
